(more than just) Saxophone Lessons.

Focused one-on-one coaching for motivated players who want honest feedback and real progress.

I help beginners through advanced players build solid fundamentals, develop their personal saxophone sound, and transform technique into musicianship.

Why study with Andy?

The saxophone has a rich history of sound and style. When played well, it takes on the player’s unique voice. Today's great players bring awareness and mastery of that tradition to the current musical scene.

I have spent over 40 years learning and applying this perspective to live performance, session recording, and production.

I am excited to share what I have learned with you.

You’ll probably like working with me if:

  • You’re willing to show up consistently and put in focused practice between lessons.

  • You are willing to be honest about where you are, do the work, and stay curious.

  • You want clear, direct feedback more than sugar-coating.

  • You are interested in learning the saxophone tradition as a means to becoming a great modern player.

  • You care about developing a great sound, feel, and musicianship.

  • You appreciate someone who respects your time and gives you a focused plan.

I teach all styles of saxophone: jazz, classical, pop, and many others. Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Baritone. Many of my students have gone on to become top performers in multiple genres.

As a modern producer and performer, I understand the role of the saxophone in current contexts. If recording, creating beats and tracks, sharing musical content, or creating the ultimate live effects rig is your thing – I got you.

How to Get Started

Getting started is simple. You don’t need to commit to a subscription right away.

Recommended Steps

1. Book a single 60-minute lesson.

We’ll play, talk through your goals, and get a realistic sense of where you are now.

2. Decide on the right tier.

After your first lesson, we’ll decide together whether ongoing lessons make sense and, if so, which tier fits best.

3. Start working the plan.

You’ll leave each lesson with a clear, realistic practice plan and specific things to listen for in your own playing.

You're also welcome to sign up directly for a subscription or async lessons if you’re ready. If you’re unsure, please check out my Frequently Asked Questions.
